Ministry of Education and UNICEF Discuss 2026 Training Programs

Tripoli: The Ministry of Education of the Government of National Unity is in talks with the UNICEF Education Department regarding proposed training programs and technical support for the year 2026. These discussions aim to enhance educational administration and outcomes in Libya through international collaboration.

According to Libyan News Agency, the International Cooperation Office at the Ministry convened with UNICEF's Education Department to deliberate on a comprehensive package of training initiatives. The meeting featured key officials including Mr. Abdul Qader Abu Shanaf, Director of the Office, Ms. Amal Marcus, Head of UNICEF's Education Department, Dr. Mohamed Ghouma, Director General of the Training and Educational Development Center, and Mr. Al-Mabrouk Mubarak, Director of the Supervision Office.

The core agenda of the meeting was to evaluate a training plan designed to boost the skills of education supervisors and enhance the competencies of school principals across Libya. This initiative is expected to be implemented in coordination with the Training and Educational Development Center. The Ministry emphasized that this meeting is integral to its agreement with UNICEF, aiming to foster effective international partnerships and implement specialized programs to uplift the nation's educational standards.
