Tripoli: GNU Minister of Social Affairs, Wafaa Al-Kilani, engaged in discussions with the Director of UNICEF in Libya, alongside Member of the House of Representatives, Aisha Shalabi, to strengthen joint efforts in supporting childhood programs within the country.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting, which took place recently in Tripoli, focused on monitoring the progress of the cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Social Affairs and UNICEF. The discussions centered around developing initiatives and activities designed to improve the well-being of children, ensuring their fundamental rights to education, health, and social protection are met.
The meeting also addressed the situation of migrant children in Libya, exploring strategies to enhance their living conditions, as this group is considered to be among the most vulnerable in the nation.
