Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration conducts a phone call with Lebanese Prime Minister

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, conducted on October 3, 2024, a phone call with the Prime Minister of Lebanon, Najib Mikati. Dr. Abdelatty affirmed Egypt's full and steadfast support for Lebanon in confronting the Israeli attacks against its territories, as well as its condemnation of the recurrent Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty, which resulted in hundreds of civilian casualties. Minister Abdelatty added that Egypt continues its contacts with various regional and international parties to achieve an immediate ceasefire, reduce escalation, and prevent the region from sliding into a full-fledged war. The Minister of Foreign Affairs also reaffirmed that Egypt supports all Lebanese state institutions which assume delicate responsibilities under difficult circumstances, most notably the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Prime Minister, the Lebanese Army, and the Lebanese security institutions, stressing that President Abdel Fattah El-Si si has issued directives to provide all possible support to relieve the brotherly Lebanese people and help the Lebanese state agencies and institutions to optimally carry out their role.
