Member of Presidential Council Al-Lafi meets parliamentary elections candidates for eastern region

Tripoli- The representative of the Presidential Council (Abdullah Al-Lafi) met, Monday morning, with the candidates for the parliamentary elections for the eastern region, who are keen in national reconciliation project, in the presence of the former member of the Transitional Council, Ali Al-Issawi.

PC sources said that Al-Lafi briefed the candidates on steps taken by the Presidential Council vis-vis the reconciliation project, which aims to stabilize Libya and lead it to elections.

Al-Lafi stressed during the meeting that the national reconciliation project is not linked to a specific time, and it is one of the most important pillars of peace building in Libya, it is the property of all Libyans, and it is supervised by the Presidential Council, in cooperation with specialized experts in many fields from state institutions and universities.

For their part, the candidates for parliamentary elections reaffirmed that the national reconciliation project led by the Presidential Council is proceeding at a steady pace, and its results will be fair.

They expressed their desire for the success of the project as a lifeline for Libya, and called for its support so that it achieves its desired goals.
