Libya’s Higher Education Ministry Engages in Global Dialogue at World Education Forum 2026

London: The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Government of National Unity showcased its commitment to advancing education by participating in the World Education Forum 2026 in London. The event gathered education ministers and officials worldwide to deliberate on the future of education and address challenges related to development and sustainability.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mohamed Al-Dbeib, underscored the necessity of evolving Libya's higher education system to align with global changes. He highlighted the significance of strengthening international partnerships and investing in the youth's skills to adapt to these transformations.

The Minister also reiterated the Government of National Unity's dedication to expanding clean energy use and boosting scientific research and innovation. These efforts are aimed at contributing to sustainable development and aligning with contemporary scientific progress.

On the sidelines of the forum, Minister Al-Dbeib engaged in bilateral discussions with his counterparts from various countries. These meetings focused on enhancing cooperation in higher education and scientific research, exchanging academic expertise, and developing partnerships between educational institutions.
