Ankara: The head of the Criminal Investigation Department, Major General “Mahmoud Ashour”, discussed during a visit he made to Turkey today with security officials efforts to enhance cooperation in the fields of law enforcement and training.
According to Libyan News Agency, Major General “Ashour” and his accompanying delegation were received by the Deputy General Forces of the Turkish Gendarmerie, Lieutenant General “Hussein Kurtoglu” and a number of senior Turkish officials. The discussions aimed at strengthening ties between Libya and Turkey in security matters.
The Libyan security delegation then proceeded to the headquarters of the General Command of the Gendarmerie at the Turkish Ministry of Interior. A meeting was held to explore ways to enhance security cooperation between the two countries and to discuss advanced training programs that could be mutually beneficial.
In addition to meetings, the Libyan delegation visited several strategic facilities including the operations room, the monitoring center, and training centers for tracking dogs and horses. They also toured the Department of Combating Cybercrime and Cybersecurity, and forensic laboratories, all within the context of bolstering joint cooperation in law enforcement and security training.
