Doha: In a recent telephone conversation with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, expressed his rejection of any infringement upon the sovereignty and security of Arab states.
According to Libyan News Agency, Al-Menfi conveyed Libya's full solidarity with Qatar, highlighting the leadership and people's unified stance against threats to Arab states' sovereignty and security. He emphasized that such infringements could have serious repercussions on regional stability and lead to an escalation of tensions.
During the call, Al-Menfi also underscored the necessity of intensifying regional and international efforts to address the crisis, advocating for dialogue and political and diplomatic solutions as priorities.
In response, the Emir of Qatar extended his deep appreciation for Libya's supportive position, acknowledging the profound fraternal relations and strong historical ties that exist between the two nations and their peoples.
