Tripoli: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity has firmly denied reports concerning an alleged storming of its building in Tripoli.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation dismissed the claims broadcasted by Al Arabiya TV, which suggested that the building had been stormed. The ministry’s External Media Department issued a statement refuting these reports, declaring them to be without basis and unsupported by any factual evidence.

The statement from the department expressed surprise over Al Arabiya TV’s decision to release such a report without utilizing any legitimate sources, despite their operational presence in Libya. The department criticized the channel for what it described as a breach of journalistic ethics and standards of professional verification.

Furthermore, the External Media Department assured that the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs is functioning normally, with no disruptions or incidents affecting its operations. It emphasized the importance of media outlets upholding accuracy and professional responsibility, urging them to avoid disseminating rumors or unverified information that could potentially fuel public unrest and destabilize the nation.
