Libyan-Japanese Economic Forum Preparations Underway

Tripoli: Discussions were held regarding arrangements for holding the second Libyan-Japanese Economic Forum next July. The Charg© d'Affaires of the Libyan Embassy in Tokyo, Ahmed Salem Al-Naas, met with Japanese officials at the embassy headquarters on Sunday to discuss arrangements for the second Libyan-Japanese Economic Forum, scheduled for July.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting included Akiko Horiba, Senior Program Officer at the Sasakawa Peace Foundation's Peacebuilding Program and Director of the Mediation for Peace Center, and Amane Kobayashi, Senior Researcher at the Middle East Research Center, Japan Institute of Energy Economics, and Senior Researcher at the Mediation for Peace Center. Hanan Al-Jaroushi, Minister Plenipotentiary at the embassy, was also present.

The embassy explained that this meeting coincided with the visit of a high-level Libyan delegation to Japan, under the auspices and organization of the Japanese Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Economy, Trade and Industry.
