Libyan Government Urges Citizens in Iran to Remain Cautious

Tripoli: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity has issued a call for caution to all Libyan nationals residing or present in Iran. The ministry emphasized the importance of adhering to instructions from relevant authorities amid current developments in the region.

According to Libyan News Agency, the ministry’s statement underscores the need for Libyan citizens to maintain regular communication with the Libyan Embassy in Tehran, especially in emergency situations, to ensure access to necessary consular and humanitarian support. The ministry highlighted the significance of Libyan citizens informing the embassy about their current locations to facilitate protection and assistance as required.

In light of the unstable security context, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged Libyan nationals in Iran to stay updated with official statements from the ministry and the Libyan Embassy in Tehran. Furthermore, Libyan citizens are advised to avoid activities that might compromise their safety during this period of uncertainty.
