Tripoli: Libyan and British officials have initiated talks on the potential establishment of a direct flight line between Libya and the United Kingdom. The Director of the European Department at the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abu Bakr Al-Tawil, recently met with Thomas Phipps, the Deputy Ambassador at the UK Embassy in Libya, to discuss this development.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting also covered several key topics, such as the facilitation of visa processes, particularly for students. Both parties expressed a mutual interest in enhancing and developing bilateral relations across various sectors.
The discussions further examined the activation of the Joint Committee between Libya and the UK, aiming to foster cooperation on issues beneficial to both nations. The meeting underscored the commitment to strengthening ties and addressing common interests.
