Tripoli: The General Authority for Communications and Informatics and the Libyan Post Company convened an expanded meeting to explore avenues for enhanced institutional cooperation. The meeting was attended by Abdul Basit Salem Al-Baour, Chairman of the General Authority for Communications and Informatics, and Sami Al-Sayeh Al-Ghaziwi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Libyan Post Company. Also present was the Director of the Office of International Relations and Cooperation at the Libyan Post Company.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry of Communications and Informatics reported that the meeting focused on strengthening institutional cooperation within the framework of the regulatory relationship between the two parties. In addition, the discussion covered mechanisms for joint coordination regarding Libya’s representation in international postal organizations. Specifically, attention was given to the Universal Postal Union (UPU) and the Euro-Mediterranean Postal Union (PUMed), where the Libyan Post Company plays an active role.
The meeting also aimed to unify visions and positions in international forums, striving to elevate Libya’s status in the global postal sector. Furthermore, efforts were discussed to reinforce the regulatory and operational framework for postal services, aligning them with international standards and best practices.
