Libyan Army Chief Urges Swift Action on Martyrs’ Entitlements

Tripoli: Lieutenant General Salah al-Din al-Namroush, the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, is actively exploring ways to expedite the activation of entitlements for martyrs and wounded individuals. In a recent meeting, he emphasized the importance of swiftly addressing the administrative and financial rights of families of martyrs, the missing, the wounded, and prisoners of war.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting was attended by high-ranking officials, including the Head of the Organization and Administration Authority, the Director of the Martyrs, Prisoners of War, Missing Persons, and War Wounded Department, and other key stakeholders. The discussions centered on mechanisms to integrate military personnel and supporting forces into the General Authority for the Care of the Families of Martyrs and the Missing, with a focus on ensuring accurate and expedited procedures.

The meeting further explored the possibility of allocating Hajj pilgrimage slots for these groups in recognition of their sacrifices. Additionally, there was a concerted effort to review and streamline the regulations governing these files, aiming for efficient implementation of decisions.

The Chief of the General Staff instructed relevant authorities to settle the salaries of martyrs and wounded soldiers without delay. He emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to overcome any obstacles that might hinder the process, ensuring that all related decisions are implemented efficiently.
