Libyan Army Chief Discusses Enhancing Naval Forces’ Readiness

Tripoli: The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Dr. Salah al-Din al-Namroush, convened an extensive meeting with Major General Engineer Nour al-Din al-Buni, Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces, to explore strategies for supporting and enhancing the operational readiness of the naval forces.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting focused on identifying the challenges that hinder the operations of the naval forces, particularly the maintenance of certain naval vessels. Discussions were held on the potential to utilize these vessels for maritime patrols, which would contribute to boosting performance efficiency and maritime security.

The dialogue also included plans to complete several land-based projects essential for strengthening the naval forces' infrastructure. These projects aim to meet the operational needs and improve the technical and logistical readiness of the forces, thereby enhancing their performance environment.

Throughout the meeting, Lieutenant General al-Namroush stressed the need to overcome existing obstacles and develop practical solutions. This approach is intended to support the naval forces in fulfilling their national duties with greater efficiency and effectiveness.
