Khartoum: The Libyan Ambassador to Sudan, Fawzi Boumriz, met with a delegation from Tarco Aviation to discuss the arrangements for launching a new air route between Libya and Sudan. This meeting comes after the Libyan authorities approved the resumption of air service between the two countries.
According to Libyan News Agency, the flights are scheduled to begin in January of next year, operating from Port Sudan and Benghazi International Airports. This is contingent upon the completion of all necessary legal and administrative procedures.
The Libyan Embassy in Khartoum emphasized that the meeting with the Tarco Aviation delegation, which included the Director of the Department of Foreign Relations and International Cooperation and the Legal Advisor, highlights the strong fraternal relations between Libya and Sudan. The embassy reiterated Libya's support for Sudan during the current crisis in the country.
