Libya to contract with Qatari healthcare company to operate 6 central hospitals

Tripoli: The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, issued a decision authorizing the Therapeutic Services Support and Development Authority to contract with a Qatari healthcare company to operate a number of health facilities in the country for a period of 15 years. According to Decision No. (530) of 2024, the Prime Minister authorized the Authority to initiate contracting procedures with the Qatari Elegancia Healthcare Company for a period of 15 years to manage and operate 6 health facilities: Tripoli University Hospital, Zuwara Central Hospital, Zliten Teaching Hospital, Ajilat General Hospital, Misurata Medical Center, Misurata Specialized Center for the Treatment of Heart and Arteries. A technical team from Elegancia Company had conducted field visits to the hospitals that it will contract to operate during the past few days and prepared comprehensive reports on their needs. It is noteworthy that Elegancia Healthcare Company is one of the leading companies in the fiel d of health care, and has long and distinguished experience in the field of managing and operating health facilities by adopting the latest administrative and operational methods.
