Dakar: The Minister of State for African Affairs in the Government of National Unity, Fathallah Abdel Latif Al-Zani, participated today in the 10th Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security. The event, held in the Senegalese capital, focuses on “Challenges of Stability, Integration, and Sovereignty in Africa: What are Sustainable Solutions?”
According to Libyan News Agency, the forum was inaugurated by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Senegal, Bassirou Diomªne Faye. The gathering saw the participation of several African heads of state, foreign ministers, and senior officials from various countries. The forum aims to address critical issues related to sovereignty, resource management, governance, political transitions, and the quest for good governance.
The discussions are set to cover the files of achieving African integration and strengthening collective security. The two-day forum will conclude with recommendations from six specialized workshops. These workshops will delve into topics such as the risks of the spread of violent extremism, challenges of intra-African integration, Africa’s strategy for achieving digital and technological sovereignty, and the obstacles hindering these objectives.
