Libya Condemns Israeli Attacks on Gaza and Calls for International Action

Tripoli: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity has condemned the recent attacks by Israeli forces on the Gaza Strip, which have resulted in numerous casualties among Palestinians.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry issued a statement on Tuesday, labeling the attacks as a blatant violation of international and humanitarian law. The statement also criticized the actions as a breach of a recently established ceasefire agreement. The Ministry urged for immediate and decisive measures to shield the Palestinian people from these continuing crimes and to hold those responsible accountable, highlighting the continuation of policies involving killing, displacement, and the denial of legitimate rights.

The Ministry’s statement called on the international community and relevant organizations to take necessary actions to safeguard lives and holy sites from aggression and ongoing violations of both international and humanitarian laws, as well as human rights.

The Ministry concluded by reiterating Libya’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and its solidarity with the Palestinian people in their pursuit of inalienable rights.
