Libya and Spain Discuss Prospects for Cooperation in Security Areas

Spain – Minister of Interior Khaled Mazen discussed with his Spanish counterpart Fernando Marlashka prospects of joint security cooperation between the two countries ,and training programs to develop and qualify security and Police cadres and benefit from Spanish expertise in this area.

The meeting ,which was held in Toledo, Spain, discussed facilitating procedures for Libyan citizens to obtain a visa from the Spanish Embassy in Libya ,in addition to discussing work to return the stolen artifacts.

It was agreed to prepare a memorandum of joint security cooperation in several security areas.

This meeting ,which was attended by Libya’s Ambassador to Spain and the Assistant Director of General Administration of Training in the Ministry ,came on the sidelines of a workshop in Toledo ,about ways of international support for the disarmament ,demobilization ,and integration program.
