Libya and Nigeria Explore Gas Cooperation and Export Pipeline Projects

Vienna: Libya and Nigeria are in discussions to enhance cooperation on gas projects and the development of export pipelines to the European market. The Minister of Oil and Gas in the Government of National Unity, Khalifa Abdul-Sadig, engaged in talks with Heineken Lukpobiri, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources of Nigeria, to explore these opportunities.

According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions took place during the Ninth Global Symposium of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) held in Vienna. The meeting focused on the potential for bilateral cooperation in gas projects and the strategic role that both Libya and Nigeria could play in bolstering global energy security. This cooperation is seen as beneficial not only for the two nations but also for the surrounding region.
