Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived in the Saudi capital on Sunday.
Lavrov will participate in a ministerial meeting of the Russian-Gulf Cooperation Council in Riyadh, and will also hold a number of bilateral meetings.
The Gulf Cooperation Council includes Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, the Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman and Saudi Arabia.
The last meeting in this format was held in the Russian capital, Moscow, in July 2023.
