The Kurdish parties in Kirkuk province held a meeting to discuss the Kurdish political reality and efforts to unify the parties and select a Kurdish candidate for the position of Kirkuk governor. A political source stated that the meeting was held at the headquarters of the Kurdish Islamic Group and was attended by representatives of the two main Kurdish parties, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
