Kirkuk Intelligence Receives Detainees from Sulaymaniyah Prisons.

Kirkuk: Member of the Council of Representatives for Kirkuk Governorate, Sheikh Wasfi Al-Asi, announced that 30 detainees in Sulaymaniyah prisons in the Kurdistan Region have arrived in Kirkuk and were handed over to the Intelligence and Anti-Terrorism Directorate. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the detainees, who originate from Kirkuk and other governorates, were initially received by security services in Sulaymaniyah. They were subsequently transferred to Kirkuk, although the exact details of their transportation remain undisclosed. These individuals are currently under the custody of the intelligence services, where their documents are being rigorously examined. This examination aims to ascertain whether they are implicated in any ongoing cases. Al-Asi further indicated that the total number of detainees released stands at 30. He emphasized that their files will be scrutinized to determine their legal standing, which will guide the decision-making process regarding their potential release.
