Benghazi: The Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stephanie Khoury, met with the Secretary-General of the General Command, Lieutenant General Khairi al-Tamimi, to discuss the unification of Libyan institutions, focusing on military and security entities.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting centered around the latest security and political developments in Libya. The discussions were a continuation of deliberations from a meeting held in Benghazi, which involved the Security Working Group from the Berlin Process and members from the security track in the structured dialogue.
Both Khoury and Tamimi highlighted the need for unifying Libyan institutions to foster stability and national unity. They also stressed the importance of organizing general elections and the role of international support in advancing these efforts.
