Italy’s Prime Minister expresses hope that a new date will be set for Libyan elections after they are postponed.

Rome, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi has expressed hope, at a press conference he holds at the end of each year, that a new date for the Libyan elections will be set.

“Italy and Europe have done their utmost to keep pace with the march towards democracy in Libya, and today we must hope for resuming the process of political consultation, until a new date is set for the elections,” he said.
