Irrigation min. affirms importance of development projects in Sinai Peninsula

Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Hani Sweilam underlined the importance of development projects in Sinai Peninsula, saying that it contributes to attaining comprehensive development. In a statement on Sunday 6/10/2024, the minister extended greetings to the Egyptian people on the occasion marking the 51st anniversary of October War victory. The ministry celebrates this precious occasion by exerting more efforts and implementing development projects in Sinai that are beneficial to the Egyptian people, he further said. Talking about the Bahr El-Baqar Wastewater Treatment Plant project, the minister said that this project is one of the largest stations of its kind in the world, adding that the daily capacity of the plant is estimated at 5.6 million cubic meters.
