The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the two terrorist bombings that occurred today, Friday, in Pakistan.

The Ministry said in a statement it condemns the two terrorist bombings that occurred today, Friday, in Pakistan. The first bombing targeted a celebration on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday near a mosque in the town of Mastung in Baluchistan Province (southwest), and led to the killing of a number of citizens, as well as the second bombing that targeted a mosque in Hingu area, south of the city of Peshawar, in Khyber Area (northwest), during Friday prayers.”

The Ministry expressed its “condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, and its solidarity with the government of Pakistan in the face of all attempts to tamper with its security and stability, carried out by extremist terrorist and Takfiri groups.”

It stressed that “targeting innocent worshipers in mosques is clear evidence of the ugliness of the ideology held by these extremist terrorist groups, which requires more cooperation and coordination to confront what threatens the collective security of countries.”
