Iraq and Saudi Arabia discuss security cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly countries

The Commander of the Border Forces, Lieutenant General Muhammad Abd- el-Wahab Sukkar, discussed with the Director General of the Border Guard in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia the prospects for cooperation, joint coordination, and security developments between the two brotherly countries.

A statement by the Ministry of Interior stated that the Commander of the Border Forces received at the command headquarters the Director General of the Border Guard in Saudi Arabia and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, a brief summary of the Iraqi Border Forces and the efforts they are making to control the borders with neighboring countries and prevent infiltration and smuggling operations was reviewed and cross-border pests, during which a film was shown that included the leadership’s achievements and security activities, followed by research and discussion of the prospects for cooperation and joint coordination, and security developments between the two brotherly countries.

During the visit, the guest delega
tion was also briefed on the border camera monitoring center in Baghdad, which transmits the image of thermal cameras from the border strip to the command headquarters in Baghdad, expressing great admiration for the development this command is witnessing in terms of infrastructure and high-level organization. At the end of the visit, the delegation wished for continued work and good luck to the leadership of the border forces and their heroes in controlling the Iraqi borders.
