Iranian message via Qatar to the United States about “the end of the self-restraint phase”

An Iranian official source announced that Tehran, following the Iranian missile strike that targeted Israel on Tuesday evening, sent a message via Qatar to the United States confirming the end of the self-restraint phase. The source said: "We confirmed in our indirect message to Washington the end of the self-restraint phase unilaterally, and that individual self-restraint does not secure our national security requirements." The Iranian official indicated that the message confirmed that any Israeli attack will be met with an unconventional response that includes infrastructure. The Iranian message addressed "the regional necessity to curb the Zionist entity and its unbridled madness," the official said. The region is awaiting an Israeli response to the Iranian strike, amid fears of an expansion of the conflict in the region. This comes after the strike that came in response to the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli raid and the assassination of Hamas Political Bur eau Chief Ismail Haniyeh on Iranian soil.
