Investment Minister Hassan el-Khateeb has praised long relations and fruitful cooperation between Egypt and the US in all fields and at all levels. Speaking during a meeting with US Ambassador in Cairo Herro Mustafa Garg, the minister reviewed means of boosting trade and investment cooperation with the US in the coming stage. He stressed the need to build on strategic economic ties between Cairo and Washington to be able to increase the volume of inter-trade and joint investments. The meeting also took up the agenda of the second session of the joint Egyptian-US economic committee, which will be held in Washington on September 4-5. Garg, for her part, said her country is keen on boosting economic cooperation with Egypt, especially in the domains of trade, investment, energy and the environment.
