New york: US Presidential Advisor for Africa, Massad Boulos, confirmed that a meeting was held today, Wednesday, at the UN General Assembly headquarters, dedicated to coordinating international support for Libyan efforts to build a stronger, more secure, and more prosperous country. Boulos tweeted, “A stable and unified Libya is good for all of us,” adding, “Together, we can help Libya advance toward this goal.”
According to Libyan News Agency, the US official expressed his thanks to the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Libya, Hanna Tetteh, and all international partners participating in the meeting. The meeting saw involvement from key international stakeholders, including Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom, all working towards the shared objective of supporting Libya’s path to stability and unity.
