In the presence of Al-Dabaiba: The Electricity Company signs the project to establish the Zliten emergency station with a capacity of 1044 megawatts.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company, “Mohammed Al-Mashai”, signed this afternoon the project to establish the Zliten gas station supplied by the German company “Siemens”, and the implementation of the destruction of the two companies (Urbacon for Trading and Contracting and Al-Suwaidi Electric).

During his participation in the signing ceremony held at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tripoli, Prime Minister “Abdul Hamid al-Dabaiba” affirmed that the government is working professionally in addressing this thorny file that has exhausted Libyans for more than ten years, and that efforts must be intensified to address it.

For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company, “Mohammed Al-Mashai,” said in a speech during the signing ceremony that the company’s plan includes many areas of maintenance of transmission lines, major overhauls, and the construction of new stations, including those for southern Tripoli and the Zliten emergency station, and that all these efforts aim to network stability.

In turn, the CEO of the German company “Siemens” expressed their pride in working in Libya and contributing to the reconstruction in all fields.

This project comes within the framework of the company’s board of directors’ plans to improve the general situation of the network and enhance production capacity in line with the demand for energy.

It is noteworthy that this station includes 6 units with a total production capacity of 1044 megawatts, and it is scheduled to be completed within 26 months.
