In a phone call: Dbaiba and Gutierrez discuss the electoral process in Libya

Tripoli- The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, “Abdul Hamid Dbaiba”, on Friday evening, made a phone call to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Gutierrez.

According to the media office of the Prime Minister, the phone call discussed the political situation in Libya and ways to support the efforts of the United Nations and the advisor of the Secretary-General to move forward to complete the electoral process as soon as possible in order to preserve stability and peace in Libya.

“Al-Dbaiba” was considered in a tweet on his account on the social network (Twitter) on Friday. The statement of the five countries regarding the situation in Libya is consistent with his government’s plan to hold elections.

He explained that the statement is consistent with the last two statements of the United Nations and Chancellor “Stephanie Williams”, and is consistent with the government’s plan to hold elections in June.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Najla Al-Manqoush, also welcomed the statements of the five countries and the European Union, regarding supporting stability and peace in Libya, through fair and transparent elections and a consensual constitutional basis.
