Police patrols of the Ras Lanuf Security Directorate seized a car carrying illegal immigrants belonging to several African nationalities.
The security media office in the directorate stated that a Toyota four-wheel drive car without license plates was chased after it was suspected of trying to escape, as the driver of the vehicle and the immigrants in it were arrested in Bin Jawad area after receiving a signal over the radio.
The source explained that after inspecting the vehicle, it was found that the driver, who was driving it, was of Libyan nationality and carried on board (20) people of “illegal immigrants of various nationalities.”
The media office of the directorate indicated that the necessary legal measures were taken regarding the incident, and the arrested were referred to the Public Prosecution for jurisdiction.
