Benghazi: The House of Representatives (HoR) is actively addressing the administrative and financial challenges faced by the management of the Great Man-Made River Project. In a recent meeting, Issa Al-Aribi, Chairman of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee, engaged with Saad Boumtari, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Project Implementation and Management Authority, to review ongoing difficulties and explore solutions.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting, held at the Council’s office in Benghazi, also focused on the required procedures to initiate the Fifth River project, specifically the Kufra-Butnan-Jabal Al-Akhdar system. Abdullah Blihaq, spokesman for the House of Representatives, provided a statement detailing the discussions and objectives of the meeting. The efforts are part of a larger initiative to ensure the effective management and execution of the Great Man-Made River Project.
