Tripoli: The House of Representatives’ (HoR) Committee for the Verification of Frozen Libyan Assets Abroad has firmly rejected any actions taken by foreign countries, including Britain, to dispose of or seize frozen Libyan assets. This stance underscores the committee’s view that such actions constitute a flagrant violation of international law and Security Council resolutions.

According to Libyan News Agency, Youssef Al-Aqouri, the Chairman of the committee, stressed that any foreign intervention concerning Libyan assets is unacceptable and would be considered an assault on Libya’s national resources. He emphasized that the Libyan people will not tolerate these serious violations.

Al-Aqouri further stated that Libya would take all necessary measures to preserve and protect its assets from tampering or exploitation. He called on countries holding frozen Libyan assets to adhere to international law and Security Council resolutions, respecting the decisions of the international community.
