High Council of State Supports UN Envoy Appointment to Libya

Tripoli: The High Council of State has expressed its support for the appointment of Hanna Serwaa Tetteh as the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Council conveyed its optimism that Tetteh, with her extensive experience at national, regional, and international levels, will effectively contribute to resolving the Libyan crisis and advancing the political process. The Council emphasized its commitment to assisting the mission in creating a conducive environment to overcome the current impasse and end the political stalemate by establishing a legislative framework for national elections with results that are widely accepted.
