Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar on Saturday hailed medical services provided to citizens at Abu Qir Specialized Hospital of the General Authority for Health Insurance (Northwest Delta Branch) in Alexandria.
Paying an inspection tour to the hospital, the minister said the hospital serves 3.2 million residents of Alexandria governorate, 362,622 citizens of Matrouh governorate, as well as 3.6 million beneficiaries of health insurance.
The average monthly bed occupancy is 71%, while the average monthly number of surgeries passes 600, he added.
