Tripoli, Head of UN Support Mission in Libya Jan Kupis has urged members of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum seek to build confidence and discuss with the same spirit of consensus when discussing the constitutional basis for the forthcoming elections.

Speaking at the opening of the first meeting of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum via zoom, devoted to discussing the constitutional basis proposals for the next elections, Kupis said the first meeting discussion will be evaluated at the Berlin meeting due in June.

He demanded that the Presidency Council and other institutions push for national reconciliation and confidence building between all parties before the elections, and to adopt a national charter for holding a free and democratic elections on Dec.24. 2021.

He urged all key players to adhere to political agreement, renounce violence and hatred speech and accepts the results of elections.
