Head of the Civil Aviation Authority discusses with the UAE Ambassador in Baghdad prospects for cooperation and joint action

The Head of the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, Imad Abdul-Razzaq Al-Asadi, discussed today, Tuesday, with the UAE Ambassador to Baghdad, Salem Issa Al-Zaabi, prospects for cooperation and joint work in strengthening the civil aviation sector between the two countries.

A statement by the Authority stated: “The meeting dealt with activating cooperation bonds and activating joint operation between the UAE and Iraqi national carriers by providing the necessary facilities for travel between Iraq and the UAE and in light of the memorandum of understanding signed in 2012 and strengthening its provisions during the current year 2023 season.”

Al-Asadi stressed: “The Civil Aviation Authority is keen to strengthen bilateral relations with the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority, in several fields, to contribute to the development of the civil aviation sector according to the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization ICAO.”
