Tripoli: The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Hanna Tetteh, has extended her congratulations to the Libyan people on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. She expressed her hopes that unity would be strengthened and peace would prevail in the region. Tetteh also conveyed her wish that this Eid would offer a glimmer of hope for Libya's stability and prosperity. According to Libyan News Agency, Tetteh's message was issued in a statement for Eid al-Fitr and shared on the Mission's media platforms. In her statement, she remarked, "With the arrival of Eid al-Fitr, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all Libyans. I have been inspired by your resilience, your preservation of your wonderful heritage, and your generosity, from providing iftar meals to community initiatives and extending a helping hand to others, whether they are members of your own communities or migrants from the far east to the west and south of the country."
