According to Libyan News Agency, St©phane Dujarric, spokesperson for the Secretary-General, indicated that the House's approval marks "an important step to move things forward." This development is considered vital in the efforts to resolve the political deadlock that has persisted in Libya. The information was shared in a press briefing by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), which was disseminated via its official Facebook page.
UNSMIL has reiterated its dedication to facilitating a political process that is both Libyan-led and Libyan-owned, aiming to resolve the impasse and fortify national institutions.
