Tripoli: The National Unity Government has mandated that all municipal councils must submit their correspondence, requests, memoranda, and reports intended for the Cabinet Office through the Minister of Local Government. This directive seeks to streamline procedures and unify communication channels among government entities, ensuring that only correspondence received via this designated route will be considered valid. According to Libyan News Agency, this directive was issued by the Cabinet Office following instructions from the Prime Minister. The Minister of Local Government has been designated as the competent authority for coordinating and monitoring all matters related to municipalities. This measure is intended to expedite task completion and enhance institutional coordination among government bodies. The circular further underlines that the Cabinet Office will disregard any correspondence or requests submitted directly, unless a specific instruction or directive is issued by the Prime Minister. The C abinet Office urged mayors to comply with the circular and its provisions to ensure proper conduct of official correspondence through established channels.
