Tripoli-GNU Minister of Finance Khaled Al-Mabrouk ,discussed with representatives from International Finance Corporation “IFC” ,efforts to develop private sector and improve investment environment in Libya.
The meeting, which was held amid the Ministry of Finance’s participation in the annual meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund for the year 2022, which was held in Washington ,discussed contribution of the IFC to the reconstruction of Libya and evaluation of the partnership program between private and public sectors , assistance in restructuring it, in addition to improving the environment for entrepreneurship.
The two sides also reviewed mechanism for supporting infrastructure and energy sectors, especially in regard to renewable energy ,and making new job opportunities for the youth, to reduce the burden on the government sector.
The meeting dealt with a number of other important issues that aim to activate the private sector’s role in the national economy and the role that IFC can play in this area.
