General Authority for Research and Identification of Missing Persons and UNDP Discuss Cooperation

Tripoli: The General Authority for Research and Identification of Missing Persons engaged in discussions with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation. The meeting took place at the Authority’s headquarters in Tripoli, where Dr. Kamal Al-Siwi, Chairman of the General Authority, welcomed Sophie Kemkhadze, Resident Representative of UNDP, and her delegation. Several directors from UNDP’s departments and offices were also present during the meeting.

According to Libyan News Agency, Sophie Kemkhadze received an in-depth tour of the Authority’s technical facilities, highlighting the advanced technologies, such as genetic fingerprinting, employed in the search and identification of missing persons. She acknowledged the significant contributions of the Authority’s teams in aiding families of the missing and emphasized UNDP’s dedication to bolstering these efforts.
