GEC and the Algerian Sonelgaz complex agree to supply energy to Libya and maintain electrical stations

Tripoli – Director General of the General Electricity Company (GEC), Abdelhamid Al-Manfoukh, discussed ,yesterday in Algeria, with Director General of the Sonelgaz complex, Morad Ajal, ways of joint cooperation between the two countries and benefits from expertise in the Sonelgaz complex, in areas of electric power and work to supply it.

The meeting also discussed the maintenance and operation of electrical stations and networks, the manufacture of spare parts, and work on training and development for employees of the GEC, according to the communication office of the company.

It was agreed to supply electric power to Libya, maintain and operate stations and electrical networks, maintain equipment and manufacture spare parts, as well as form and train technical teams.

Al-Manfoukh praised and thanked the administration of the Sonelgar complex for this initiative to consolidate the brotherly relations between the two countries, and to raise the level of the GEC.

For his part, Ajal welcomed the visit of the Libyan delegation, in order to extend the communication between the countries.
