GCC Chief commends Saudi evacuation efforts

The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi praised Saudi Arabia’s role in the evacuation of its citizens and nationals of a number of GCC, brotherly and friendly countries, in addition to diplomats and international officials.

He expressed thanks and gratitude to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their instructions and direct follow-up to the evacuation process, which got completed in an ease and smooth manner for the evacuees who safely arrived to the city of Jeddah and have had all their needs met ahead of leaving to their home nations.

He commended the diplomatic efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries to settle the Sudanese crisis and reach a peaceful settlement.

He called on warring parties in Sudan to stop military operations, exercise maximum restraint, avoid escalation and heed their people’s interests to ensure their security and stability and safeguard national achievements.
