Four Palestinians were injured by gunfire and many others suffocated from teargas today as Israeli occupation forces attacked the weekly anti-occupation protest in the town of Kafr Qaddum, in the northern West Bank province of Qalqilia. Morad Shtewi, a local activist, told WAFA that Israeli occupation soldiers attacked the protesters with rubber-coated rounds and teargas, injuring at least four protesters and causing dozens of others to suffocate from gas inhalation. All of the injured were treated at the scene of the confrontations. For years, villagers from Kafr Qaddum and neighboring villages have been protesting every Friday against illegal Israeli settlements and to demand the Israeli occupation authorities to reopen the village’s main road, which has been sealed off by the occupation since 2002.
