Foreign ministers of Egypt and Greece discuss situation developments in Libya.

Greek Foreign Minister, Nikos Dendias, discussed with his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, in the Greek capital, Athens, many files, including the current developments of the situation in Libya and the Middle East.

Shoukry said in a joint press conference with his Greek counterpart that the situation in Libya is stressful, and “we seek for Libya to restore its unity, stability and full sovereignty, and for it to face its challenges through a Libyan-Libyan consensus.”

The Egyptian Minister of Diplomacy expressed that his country hopes, through its communication with all Libyan parties, to eventually lead to free and fair elections that bring a government which expresses the will of the Libyan people and preserves its capabilities.

In turn, Dendias said, in a tweet via Twitter, that he discussed in Athens with Shoukry the strengthening of strategic relations between the two countries and several regional and international issues, including the situation in Libya.
