Al-jufra: Security operations patrols in Jufra, in coordination with patrols from the Waddan police station, successfully intercepted two buses carrying a total of 21 illegal immigrants of African nationalities within their jurisdiction.

According to Libyan News Agency, sources within the security operations department revealed that the apprehended immigrants were divided between two buses-11 on the first bus and 10 on the second. Initial investigations with the bus drivers uncovered their admission of previously transporting illegal immigrants from Misrata to Waddan. The arrangement included a handover in the Dar al-Bayda area, near the TT rally site, for a fee of 600 Libyan dinars per trip, with the immigrants destined to be delivered to an individual in Waddan.

Further details disclosed that the drivers are now in legal custody at Waddan police station, while the apprehended immigrants have been referred to the Jufra branch of the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency. The two buses involved in the smuggling attempt have been impounded, and legal procedures are underway in accordance with applicable legislation.
